Mia has it all…. or so it seems. Her upstart private practice is successful; she is set to receive a $20 million inheritance, yet she feels trapped in a loveless marriage. Things change when she counsels Tammy, a complex widow dealing with her husband's murder. Immersed in the psyche of her new patient, the situation opens hidden doors to a forbidden underground where tension and suspicions mount. When handsome and mysterious stranger Hampton appears, things become complicated. Soon she finds herself a player in a twisted game where no one…. NO ONE is whom he or she appears to be.
It can be said that to open Pandora's Box is to create a situation that will cause a great deal of grief and anguish. This is the underlying message of "Pandora's Box". Our Pandora is Mia Dubois, a psychologist in an unhappy marriage, who becomes entangled in a patient's dangerous life.
Unable to control her desire and inquisitiveness as to the details of the patient's adventures, Dr. Dubois finds herself opening Pandora's Box, both figuratively and literally. Mia's curiosity releases all the evils that were lurking in her own life: debauchery, decadence, sex, murder and deception.
Pandora's Box is an underground sex club. A sanctuary for sex, drugs and murder all veiled in secrecy. Mia finds herself entangled in the wicked pleasures of the club, an exciting extramarital affair and an evil plot against her that bleeds into all aspects of her existence. The only thing Mia has left is hope; the hope that she can save herself and rid her life of the men who are trying to steal her fortune.

Rainforest made its foray into the film distribution arena with the release of the independent film, "Trois". The box office success of that project earned the company the 34th spot on the 2000 list of Top 100 Film Distributors (the highest of any African-American distributor) by the Hollywood Reporter and Daily Variety magazines.
The company is based in Atlanta, GA and is owned and operated by African-Americans. Pandora's Box marks the second release for the company. There has been a void in the area of avant-garde cinema, until now. Distribution is the last step in creating a consistent supply of entertainingly insightful products. The time is at hand….. and Rainforest Films (with your support) is at the forefront.
